* Pte. Michael BARRY 293, was struck by a tram car outside
the Cairo abattoirs in the evening of 14 December 1915. He
was admitted to No 5 Canadian Stationary Hospital at
Abbassia, dangerously ill with a fractured pelvis and died
from injuries at 3.15 pm 15 December 1915. His death was
confirmed by Lieutenant Colonel F.ETHERINGTON,
Officer-in-Charge, No.5 Canadian Stationary Hospital, 21
December 1915.
** Private BARRY was interred at 1.25 pm, 16 December 1915
in the New Roman Catholic cemetery, Old Cairo after a
ceremony conducted by Rev. T. A. CAMPBELL. He is
buried in Grave No M84 Pt2 1499 S343
