All private documents and effects received from the front of hospital, as well as the Pay Book, should be examined, and if any Will is found it should bet at once forwarded to the War Office.

Any information received as to verbal expressions by a deceased soldier of his wishes as to the disposal of his estate should be reported to the War Office as soon as possible.

A duplicate of this Report is to be sent to the Fixed Centre Paymaster at Home, or to the D.F.A.G., Indian Expeditionary Force, or Field Disbursing Officer, as the case may require, together with the deceased's Pay Book (after withdrawal of any Will from the latter). If the deceased's Small Book is at the Base, it should be forwarded to the War Office with this report.

Private Michael BARRY 293, was struck by a tram car outside the Cairo abattoirs in the evening of 14 December 1915. He was admitted to No 5 Canadian Stationary Hospital at Abbassia, dangerously ill with a fractured pelvis and died from injuries at 3.15 pm 15 December 1915. His death was confirmed by Lieutenant Colonel F. ETHERINGTON, Officer-in-Charge, No.5 Canadian Stationary Hospital, 21 December 1915. Barry told authorities, "It was dark and I was crossing the track when the car struck me. The motorman did not ring the bell". There was nothing to indicate that he had been drinking.

Private BARRY was interred at 1.25 pm, 16 December 1915 in the New Roman Catholic cemetery, Old Cairo after a ceremony conducted by Rev. T. A. CAMPBELL. He is buried in Grave No M84 Pt2 1499 S343
